Gates Traveler Profile: Who Should Attend Academic Tourism?

While GATES Institute is open to a broad range of college students, both undergraduate and graduate, and business professionals, there is a minimum academic requirement for students seeking to enroll in our programs abroad.

Undergraduate Students

Students enrolled at an undergraduate program must have completed at least 60 credits and hold at least a 3.0 GPA at the time of application to join any of GATES’ programs. Prospect students are also required to submit a short essay (200-250 words) indicating their interest in participating on the selected program. To be accepted students must fulfill these minimum requirements and demonstrate, in their essay, an alignment between their academic program, personal interest and the program they are applying for.  GATES reserves the rights to select students whom best fit the program goals and outcomes.

Graduate Students

Business professional individuals must provide a proof of employment or affiliation with a business organization at the time of application to join any of GATES’ programs. Applicants are also required to submit a short essay (200-250 words) indicating their interest in participating on the selected program. To be accepted applicants must fulfill the minimum requirements and demonstrate, in their essay, an alignment between their career path, personal interest and the program they are applying for.  GATES reserves the rights to select professionals whom best fit the program goals and outcomes.
